Biography

Dr. Areta Marta Pidwerbetsky is a bilingual radiologist fluent in Ukrainian. She earned her medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in Stony Brook, NY. She completed her residency and served as Chief Resident in radiology at Albany Medical Center following her internship in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT. Dr. Pidwerbetsky received her Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering from Cooper Union in New York, NY. She is affiliated with the Radiological Society of North America and the American College of Radiology. Dr. Pidwerbetsky serves as Chief of Staff–elect Ellis Medical Staff and Chairman of the Medical Imaging Department and Radiation Safety. She also serves on the Board of Directors and Peer Review Committee of Mohawk Valley Medical Associates.

Dr. Pidwerbetsky grew up in Schenectady and loves working in and serving her community. As an engineer, she found radiology the perfect integration of medicine, science, and technology. In her spare time, Dr. Pidwerbetsky loves to run and ride her horse.
