Dr. Benjamin Cooper is board certified in diagnostic radiology. He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. Dr. Cooper began his studies at Yeshiva College of Yeshiva University in New York, NY where he earned his Bachelor of Science in biological sciences. He completed residencies at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ, SUNY Downstate/Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. Dr. Cooper has a particular interest in trauma and emergency medicine. He was inspired to pursue a career in medicine when he was in high school volunteering for a local rescue squad as an EMT in training. Through this experience, he saw first-hand the impact the medical team has on a patient’s care and knew he wanted to make a difference, too. What he loves most about his job as a radiologist is utilizing the latest technologies to help identify why a patient is symptomatic and advising other health care professionals about which exams or protocols are best suited in a specific challenging case.
In his spare time, Dr. Cooper enjoys long-distance running, martial arts, bicycling, sailing, and scuba diving. He also spends time volunteering for a community security service in his neighborhood at houses of worship.
