Biography

Dr. Beth Whiteside is board certified in radiology and diagnostic radiology. She was fellowship-trained in breast imaging at Duke University Hospital. Dr. Whiteside completed her radiology residency training at Hartford Hospital and her internship at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital. She earned her medical degree from SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Her undergraduate studies were completed at Oberlin College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts.

Dr. Whiteside specializes in breast imaging. She serves as the medical director of Albany Medical Center’s Breast Center, which is accredited as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology. She also serves as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Albany Medical College and has been a radiologist with ImageCare Medical Imaging of Community Care Physicians for over a decade.

Dr. Whiteside knew from a young age she wanted to pursue a career in medicine and believes it is a privilege to help people in their vulnerable moments. What she loves most about her job is the variety of ways she can help women each day and the feeling that she’s enhancing the health of our community through improving women’s health.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Whiteside enjoys spending time with her family, physical fitness and nutrition, outdoor activities, gardening, and smaller DIY projects.
